One of the perks of watching anime is to get exposed to songs that I would never have the opportunity to listen to.  One such anime that I am watching, Nanatsu no Taizai, currently in its fifth and final season in Japan, has introduced me to a slew of tunes.

This song by Anly, aptly named, Beautiful, is simply... beautiful.

Medallion Gold Coin: Underwater World Langkawi

I am going to be posting the gold plated coins from the Medallion Gold Coin series that I have started collecting since 2019.  These coins are sold via vending machines at tourist locations or places of interests in Malaysia.

This coin was released in Underwater World Langkawi in January 2020, to commemorate the 100th American penguin hatched.

Pressed coin collection

I have been actively chasing after pressed coins since 2019 but truth be told, I picked up the habit way back in 2016 during my trip in Langkawi.  I have completely forgotten about these elongated coins until I came across the, "Coinage Passport", that I bought during my stay on the island.

I must admit that I am quite happy to have found this long forgotten album which rekindled my interest in finding as many of these pressed machines in Malaysia.
You can see there are several of these coins are out of alignment.  I understand the machines need to be calibrated after a number of presses else it will begin to misalign.
I hope to revisit Langkawi in the near future and see if there are any new designs since my last visit.  It would be nice if the old designs are still there so I am able to get the aligned versions.

Oh No!

I was watching YouTube and this music video was featured as an ad.  The song was really catchy, although the lyrics was too simplistic.  Nonetheless, I just couldn't stop listening to its feet-tapping-inducing tune.

Edit: Is it just me or does anyone else think that Robby Hodgey looks a lot like Silent Bob without the baseball cap?

My first post after 15 years

I created, "Gray Matter", on a whim but completely abandoned it for Facebook, as it was a much easier platform to share my thoughts.

Nonetheless, I am surprised to find this blog page still exist even though it was not update for over 15 years.

Perhaps I will resume posting in this space, sharing my musings and interests at any given time.
